I'm finally getting settled into motherhood with my 2 girls and have started creating again. I hope to be better at posting, but still trying to work on time management and usually my blog is the first one to go, but I'm going to work on it...I promise! :)

I created these thank you notes to match one of my invites which is pictured below. The Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery is a great combo when expecting a baby boy! Baby Girl! My little bundle of joy was born on June 28th at 4:16 PM. Her name is Julia and we are so excited to have this new addition to our family. I'm blessed with 2 beautiful girls. We're still getting settled and adjusting, but I wanted to share the news! I hope to be back to business in August and will keep you posted!

Well, nothing ever goes as planned! I was hoping to have had at least a few more blog posts on here before we welcomed our little one, but that obviously did not happen. I did want to post at least one more time to provide you with an update. We are expecting our little bundle of joy on Tuesday and we can't wait! We are so excited to find out what we are having. The pregnancy had some unexpected bumps along the way, but I think everything is all worked out now!

Since we don't know the sex of the baby, I came up with some generic thank you cards. I thought I'd share these with you. Currently, my shop is on vacation mode until I get adjusted, but I hope to be back up and running real soon as I miss it already! I also hope to be better at blogging and keeping you updated as well! Why I've been MIA!

I know I haven't posted in ages, but I do have good reasons. First, let me introduce you to my new office! I don't have a photo of my old space, but since we moved the office to the front of our home, it needed to be neat, nice and inviting. It is all of that and more! I'm so organized and can get so much more accomplished now that I have the work space!

Second, the reason for the big office move. I'm just about 31 weeks pregnant and we've moved my toddler into what was my office and the baby will be taking over her old room. Needless to say, transitioning 3 rooms pregnant was a huge undertaking and this all happened during one of the busiest times for my business (not that I'm complaining), but it didn't leave me much time for anything else.

Finally, I received my first wedding invitation order! I had so much fun working with the bride in order to design her dream invitation. Here are a couple photos of the final product.

Umbrella Shower Invite Sample

This shower invite is perfect for a bridal or baby shower! The color combo used here was inspired more for a bridal shower, but you can interchange the color with a soft pink or blue and brown for a baby shower! There are more than 40 colors available, so the possibilities are endless. The background is embossed to provide texture. The image is hand stamped and colored to coordinate with the colors of the card. The sentiment "It's a Shower" was hand stamped and the flowers were punched out and adhered using a brad. Masculine Birthday Card

I needed a few masculine birthday cards for the month of March. This is always a challenge for me since I seem to have more girly stamps than masculine, but I decided to use my new cupcake punch and Create a Cupcake stamp set to make this fun card. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Early Espresso. The layout came from one the previous Mojo Monday sketches. I really like the way this card turned out.

The inside of the card reads, "There's something fabulous about your birthday {must be you!}". I love the brad embellishments as it added that little something extra to this card! Baby Congrats Card

Recently, there seems to be something in the water! A few of my good friends are expecting and here's one card I decided to congratulate one of them with on their happy news. This card is generic since the news is too new to know the sex. The colors are Daffodil Delight and Certainly Celery. The images were hand stamped and colored. The background was embossed with dots to provide texture and the stamped images were adhered to scallop squares providing a sweet little detail. The "Congratulations" sentiment was adhered to the card using foam squares. I really like the way this card turned out and just thought I'd share it with you.

Tropical Save the Date

I've been working on these Save the Dates this past weekend and thought I'd share. I love the jewel colors the bride has chosen! The colors are Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise. Each flower is stamped and cut out by hand. The envelope is hand stamped in the lower left hand corner to coordinate. I really love this color combo and although my hand is still recovering from all the cutting, I really do love the way these turned out! Thanks for looking!

This week, I was in baby designing mode. It could be because I'm reaching the halfway mark of my pregnancy that I have babies on the brain! Anyway, I know I've been focusing on weddings, so I thought I'd show some love to the moms-to-be out there. The above baby feet invitation is designed for a mom expecting a boy, but can be modified for a girl or unknown gender. The colors Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip were used to create this sweet invite.The background is embossed with dots and the baby feet are stamped and adhered to a scallop circle. One of my most popular sets is the Bridal Party Thank You Notes. Most of the time, the brides just request for the girls, but I do have the ability to create thank you notes for the guys! It's a new year and I know it's been forever since I've posted! So I'm starting out with a Valentine themed card! This card is great to let that someone special know you're thinking about them. Baby Boy Congratulations Card

I recently finished a custom order for a personalized baby boy card. This is what I came up with. The background is embossed with a diamond pattern to provide texture. The giraffe was hand stamped and colored and adhered to the card with strong adhesive. The bow was the perfect touch to help welcome this little one into the world!

My daughter was born in December and last year she turned one. I was trying to find a cool theme since we were having some family and friends over to celebrate. My home was already decked out for the holidays, so I wasn't sure how we were going to make it special for her birthday too! Then I came across the Winter ONEderland theme and feel in love! Snowflakes were the perfect enhancement and there is not other time I'll get to use this theme! This is such a pretty color combination for a wedding. I've been getting my wedding inspiration from this great blog, The Perfect Palette, which is where I got the inspiration for this card. Many there are so many great color combos out there! Makes me wish I was getting married all over again! :)

The invites measure 4.25" by 5.5" and come with a white envelope. The black background is dry embossed with Vintage Wallpaper pattern providing elegant texture and feel to the card. The image was hand stamped and colored onto a unique shape I made using the Top Note die and the Big Shot. The ribbon provides that added touch to make this invite complete!

Fall Inspired Bridal Shower Invitation

With fall right around the corner, I decided to work with the colors orange and brown. In this sample, I used Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. This color combo goes really well together and are the perfect colors for fall!

The dress is hand stamped and colored. I used an embossing folder to provide texture and a touch of elegance to this invite! I love the way this turned out. The brown grosgrain ribbon was the perfect embellished me to complete this look!

I can't believe the holidays are right around the corner. Now with the kids back in school, time is going to fly by and Christmas will be here in a blink of an eye! So I decided to get started on some holiday items. I love the way these turned out!

I know we always turn to gift cards for those impossible to get for family members! This is a great way to wrap your gift card and make it extra special! The tutorial on how to make these can be found over at the DOstamping with Dawn blog.

I dry embossed 2 out of the 3 and stamped the inside of them to add more detail. The ribbon on the one holder reads "Naughty BUT NICE". This is the first in what I hope to be many holiday posts!

With school buses roaming around the neighborhood again, school is in session and the activities pick up! Every since having my little one, I'm always in need of a thank you. These notes are great to have for a teacher thank you, a coach thank you or even a mommy helper thank you!

It today's economy, customer service is key! We need to make our customers special and let them know how much we appreciate their business. I've designed a few handmade mini thank you notes for internet sellers on places like Etsy and Ebay to include with their customer's order.

The above design is just one example of what I've come up with for a customer. These cute notes measure 2.5" square and are perfect to add that extra special touch to an order. Pottery themed Baby Shower!

Recently, I received a special request for creating a baby shower invite with a pottery theme. At first, I was nervous. How was I going to come up with a pottery themed baby shower invite? Then my wheels started to turn and I knew I was up for the challenge. I asked my customer a few questions and voila, this is what came to me!

The shower is for a girl, so of course that determined the pink theme. Since I not been to a pottery store in awhile, I wanted to make sure I understood what exactly the guests would be painting. Plates, ceramic tiles, mugs and more. Perfect! So here's is the outcome. Loved to hear what you think.

Cute as a Bug Cupcake Toppers

I'm so excited to announce that I'm now featuring cupcake toppers to coordinate with invites and thank you cards in my Etsy shop! With cupcakes becoming increasingly popular treat at weddings, showers, and parties, I've decided to now offer toppers.

Like my cards, these toppers use quality card stock and are hand stamped and colored (if applicable). Non-toxic glue is used to adhere 4" lollipop sticks. In this sample, the lollipop stick was adhered between 2 layers of card stock providing a 3-D effect!

Dasher Christmas Card Set

Here is the first Christmas card set that I've made! I'm trying to gear up for the holiday season which is quickly approaching. It's been a little challenging since it's been so HOT lately. I'm trying to cool off and get in the Christmas spirit and thought I'd share my first creation for this season! This card set is one of many that will be listed over at my Etsy shop.

The front of the card is dry embossed with snowflakes giving the background texture. The reindeer is embellished with red grosgrain ribbon giving him a little something special! The sentiment, "Merry Christmas" is popped up with foam squares providing the 3-D effect!

The inside of the card reads, "Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. - Norman Vincent Peale".

I have quite a few birthdays coming up in August, so I decided to make this card for all the girls. I used designer series paper for the background and incorporated it into the stamped image. Of course, I needed to add a little bling which added a nice touch to this card. The other cards are either in this color, retired Apricot Appeal or in Regal Rose (deep pink). Anniversaries are a time to celebrate! This card was designed for a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary, but it can be used for other occasions like celebrating an engagement or a wedding. The colors were pale peach with navy as the accent. Designer paper was used for the bottom half of the card which really complimented the overall design. The inside of the card reads "Happy Anniversary." This was a fun, easy way to celebrate a couple!

I love to see the different color combos brides choose for their weddings. This bride requested fuschia pink and orange. I created her card in Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie card stock. I was a little nervous about this color combo when I first heard about it, but I was very surprised at how well the colors went together! Very summery and had to share!

Welcome Little One

I love the way this card turned out! I used one of the previous sketch layouts from Mojo Monday blog. I then used some scraps and a piece of designer paper I had for the background. The stamp sets are both retired SU! sets - Wild About You and Riveting. The inside says "Congratulations" from the Well Scripted Set. Let me know what you think! I stamped the lion three times, once in Pumpkin Pie for the mane and twice in More Mustard for the body and face. Stampin' dimensionals were used for both the mane and the sentiment to make the card 3-D!Thanks for looking!

The coordinating envelope was fun to make. I used a technique I learned from Stampin' Pretty's blog. Mary Fish is so talented!! I used the same designer paper for the back flap of the envelope. I little 2-way glue and voila, a jazzed up, coordinating envelope to go with the card!

Easter is just around the corner!

With Easter right around the corner, I felt inspired to make something with a bunny. I got the layout from talented designer Mary Fish for the MOJO turns 100! The bunny comes from a retired stamp set, A New Little Someone. I used pastels and water brushes to color the bunny. The inside of the card reads "Happy Easter." I love the way this turned out! PPA32-A Theme Challenge-Spring

So today, I decided to participate in a challenge. Pals Paper Arts has a new challenge every Thursday and this week's challenge was a spring theme. Bloom with Happiness!

This is one of my favorite retired stamp sets from SU! It is a hostess set and I love using this stamp set for weddings and bridal showers! The card measures 5.25" square. I used some really cool paper as the background. It has raised felt on it! I cut the circles out using my Circle Scissors Plus and used the corner punch for the sentiment. I, of course, needed to add a little sparkle to the occasion, so I used the 2-way glue and my Dazzling Diamonds glitter to add the sparkle to the dress!

Birthday Cake

This card measures 5.25" square. I used some DSP, white satin ribbon and SU!'s premium quality card stock to make this card! The stamp set is called Happy Moments and is another set that I received FREE during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration event! Order $50 worth of products and receive FREE stamps! I colored the cake using Stampin' Write Markers and used the ticket corner punch to enhance the image. The inside of the card reads "the more candles the bigger the wish!" which is another stamp from the Whimsical Words set available in the SAB catalog.

Floral Friends

I'm so excited that I finally got to use the new supplies that came for me last week! Now that the family is feeling better, I hope to get back to creating every day! This set is Vintage Vogue from the new mini-occasions catalog. I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive along with Whisper White to create this card. I stamped the "F" Friends in Rich Razzleberry, cut it out and adhered with dimensionals. I also used the scallop trim border punch which I got free from the SAB catalog! This card was super easy to make and I can tell that I'm going to get a lot of use out of this stamp set.

Love Bugs vs. Stomach Bug

I'm so disappointed that I haven't been able to create or share any new cards this week especially since I just received some new toys! This week my family and I have been plagued with the stomach flu! It has been awful. I'm still recovering, but hope to have the family back to being healthy before the end of this weekend! Sweet New Arrival!

What a sweet way to welcome a new little girl into the world! I love the way this card came out!

I used a few different SU! stamp sets on this card. I was inspired by my daughter's blanket which had a quilted pattern background with an animal on it! The Pretty In Pink background is embossed using SU! Texturz Plate. The elephant is from the Animal Stories stamp set. I added the "ball" by using the Circle Circus stamp set and punching it out with my 3/4" circle punch. The sentiment "welcome" came from the Warm Words set. I added a pink jeweled brad to the ribbon for added flair! The inside of the card reads, "Congratulations on your sweet new arrival!".

Time to Make the Donuts!

Today's card was inspired by a circular I received in the mail. I decided it would be a fun card and unique color combo! I used the retired set Like It A Latte & Polka Dots & Paisley. The colors are Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip. I cut out the heart and adhered it to the card using dimensionals. The background is embossed using SU! Texturz Plate on both the Pink Passion and Pumpkin Pie backgrounds. The inside of the card reads "Sending warm wishes your way." Today's post has nothing to do about stamping or cards. I've decided to share a little about me. I've worn eyeglasses since I was 2 years old. Of course, once I was old enough to wear contact lenses, I started to use them and never looked back! Well, since the birth of my daughter a little over 13 months ago, contacts do not suit my lifestyle and I've been wearing my eyeglasses that have not been updated since college. I'm not going to share how long ago my college days were, but let's just say it's been a long time! So today I'm finally going to get my eyes checked and pick out a new pair of glasses! I'm so excited. I really need a change and I can't wait to see what options are out there.I never thought I would be using my contacts for occasional use and going back to wearing glasses full time, but life changes! Beautiful Butterfly Gift Card Holder

I love Stampin' Up's! Beautiful Butterfly Bigz Die! This makes for a versatile gift card holder. I used Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum and Old Olive card stock. I embossed the butterflies with a texturz plate also exclusive to Stampin' Up! The body of the butterfly was created using mini-pearls which I purchased from one of my favorite Etsy stores, PAPER CRAFTERS PARADISE! The ribbon is a sheer organdy cream that ties the holder together. The inside of the holder was stamped using Lovely Labels stamp set. Thanks for looking!

Thinking of You Medallion Card

Staying on track with my theme, here is a Valentine's Day edition of the Medallion card. I switched up the sentiment to "Thinking of You" and used a soft black brad for the center embellishment which I purchased through this great eBay store! The card has a vintage feel to it since the images did not come out as sharp as the original, but it adds to the character of the card.

Winter One-derland Thank You

Now that the holidays are over, I can finally post the thank you card I made to coordinate with the Winter One-derland theme! I used the Snow Swirled stamp set for the snowflakes stamped in Gable Green and Pink Passion inks. I then used the Snowflake punch with a brad for the focal point of the card and used the scallop oval and large oval punches for the Thank You sentiment from the Warmest Regards stamp set. I really liked the way this came out and complimented the Winter One-derland invitation perfectly!

So I decided to make some coordinating cards and gift tags. So many of my friends are preggers, so I decided to make some baby themed ones. I hope to make some holiday coordinating sets next! I used Stampin' Up!'s Love Bug set (Level I hostess in current catalog) to create this ensemble. I also used 1 1/4" circle punch, scallop circle punch, modern label circle punch and Stampin' Up!'s texturz plates 1 for the embossed background. The gift tag also used a stamp from Baroque Motifs. Add some color to the image with SU!'s markers and voila...the coordinating set is complete! Here are the others I created!

This card I made for a friend who recently just had a baby boy! I used SU!'s Circle Circus, Animal Stories and Lovely Labels stamp sets for the images. I also embossed the background using the Big Shot with SU!'s textured backgrounds. I loved the way this card came out! The Circle Circus created the appearance of coordinating designer paper. Colors used were Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue and Old Olive. The inside of the card was stamped with booties and diaper pins. Thanks for looking!

This is such a fun card to give to an expecting mother-to-be! Using the Swell News stamp set, this card measures 4.25"x5.5". Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive card stock was used. The Rich Razzleberry background is embellished with swirls to provide texture to the overall background. Various punches and the Circle Scissor Plus were also used to create the other added embellishments. The envelope is stamped with the diaper pins in Old Olive along with bottom to compliment the card. Thanks for looking!

3x3 Thank You Note

My first 3x3 note and I loved the way it turned out. I used all scraps for this project besides the gems for the butterfly body. The stamps sets I used are Much Appreciated and Delight in Life by SU!. The butterfly was cut out using the Big Shot and SU!'s Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The other tool used was the the scallop border punch. I stamped the butterfly with Versamark Ink using the Itty Bitty Borders Stamp set. The colors used include Pretty In Pink, Pale Plum, Whisper White, and Gable Green. Overall, I love the way the note came out. This was a creation that just came together! :)

I love creating this card! The colors are YoYo Yellow and Chocolate Chip. I used the Stampin' Up!'s retired stamp sets Wild About You (may still be available on the dormant list) and Much Appreciated. The background dots were embossed using the Big Shot and the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates. I also used the Big Shot to cut out the ovals. The Scallop punch was also used! I really like this color combo and appreciate you looking!

This card I made into a set that is now available in my Etsy store. The peacock is heat embossed to give it some dimension. I used mainly Stampin' Up! materials in this set. The peacock was stamped in SU!'s basic black craft ink and then heat embossed with SU!'s clear embossing powder. I used Tempting Turquoise card stock for the blue along with Pink Passion for the pink cards in this set. This set was a lot of fun to create and was inspired by Mary Fish's post. Place Cards

Place cards are the final item from my sister's wedding. I'll be posting some other designs I've been working on over the next couple of days! These are the place cards I made using the scraps from the program fans. It's Very Vanilla card stock. The swirl is Sizzix die that was adhered using the Xyron sticker maker and Mellow Moss card stock. The names were printed on clear shipping labels. Enjoy!

Hotel Welcome Notes for Gift Bags

These notes were created for the out of town guest bags given out at the hotel for my sister's wedding. These were fun to make and add a touch of class to the welcome bags! Using the Big Shot Top Note die, I cut out Top Note shape using Very Vanilla card stock. Then using Baroque Motifs stamp set, I stamped the background in Mellow Moss ink. I printed out the verbiage on vellum paper and also cut this out using the Top Note in the Big Shot. Adhered the two with SU!'s Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon and voila, you have your welcome notes!

Wedding Program Fans

With my sister getting married outdoors in August, she really loved the idea of program fans. With a little bit of research, we found a few templates and was able to bring this to life! Using Stampin' Up! products, these fans were pretty easy to make. I used Very Vanilla card stock, Baroque Border stampin' around wheel and Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon. With snail adhesive & mini glue dots to adhere the ribbon, the program fans came to life!

First, I printed the front and back of the programs on the Very Vanilla 8.5" x 11" card stock. I then trimmed it down and used the 3/16 Inch Corner Rounder Punch to round the corners.

Next I stamped the fronts of the programs using Baroque Border stampin' around wheel and the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide. The ink I used was Close to Cocoa.

The next step was to adhere the fronts and backs together on a jumbo craft stick (available at your local craft store or Walmart). I used Snail Adhesive on the sticks the front and sides of the card.

The last and final step was adhering the ribbon. Using Mellow Moss 3/8 Inch Taffeta Ribbon and Mini Glue Dots, I tied a piece of 6" ribbon to the stick.

Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

My first custom order was my sister's rehearsal dinner invitation. I just received the "Cheers to You" stamp set from Stampin' Up! and it was the perfect set for this occasion. The ovals were created using the Big Shot. Mellow Moss and Chocolate Chip card stock was also used to create this invite. Can't forget the Dazzling Diamonds glitter touch for the champagne glasses - although it's tough to see in this photo.

Jack & Jill Shower Invitation & Thank You Notes

Here are the shower invitations I created. I kept it simple and created Thank You notes to match. They held a Jack and Jill shower, so I wanted something that wouldn't be the typical "bridal shower" invite. I used Stampin' Up! materials which include Mellow Moss and Chocolate Chip card stock and Tagger's Dozen stamp set. The envelope was stamped with $1 stamp from Michael's.The "Thank You" notes also used Mellow Moss and Chocolate Chip card stock from Stampin' Up! along with the Sincere Thanks Stamp set and a few punches.
